okay.. I'm assuming you're using BTInternet ADSL.. in which case.. you need to use PPPoA (Point to Point Protocol over ADSL) there may also be an option for VC-Mux with that selection.. which you should choose..

VPI should be 0, VCI should be 38

in the wan settings.. under the heading PPP.. you put your btinternet user name and password.. the service name is unimportant..

this should at least get your router connected to bt and allow you to sort the rest of the network :)
