Hi i am new to this site i have been reading some topics and they seem very helpful.. First as of about 6 months ago whenever i played a game with my geforce fx 5200 the game used to cut out. In this case it was vietcong.. it used to run fine with the card i could play for hours with no problem but now after 1 minute it cuts out and reboots my pc..i have borrowed a geforce 2 GTS from my freind and now vietcong can run for awhile without cutting out but now comes UT2003 which can cut out in minutes i really dont know why it does this now..and im sure its not the card so why else could my pc be cutting out any help would be apreciated.
Plz help me i will put my specs so dont laugh...lol

How many fans are you running? I ask this to try and eliminate the possibility of overheating. If your cooling is ok, you could be looking at a weak PSU or failing memory. Your memory can be tested using memtest86.
All of the instructions are on the site but as always, if you have problems running it just let us know. Test it and let us know the results, hopefully we can narrow it down some.

If it isn't a hardware problem as Liljim suggests, it could be software related.
Check your power options in the control panel make sure hibernate and standby are diabled
I've seen some gamer problems like this and it was the virus scan program that was messing things up
Usually its the game, video card and virus program all together that cause this.
try disabling your virus scan and see if the game works properly
Another question to ask yourself, is what did you install on your system when the game worked and then stopped working. Antivirus,AOL, a screensaver, a toolbar?

It should cycle through the different test, showing you which test is currently running, test 1, test 2 and so on. Let it run a full cycle, it will automaticly restart the testing once the last test is done (I dont remember how many their are). When you see that happen and dont see any errors or failing memory address's you can stop the test. This would obviously mean you passed.
If you do indeed pass, you need to check what icecube pointed out. As far as your PSU, i dont think theres much you can do other than to just replace it. 250 is pretty weak for your specs and it would be a good idea to replace it anyway.
