Hey, i recently borrowed a Mic from my mate, but ive plugged it in and no audio programs are recognising it, i have a mic on my webcam which works but its too close to my speakers for me to use in games.
How can i find a driver or something to set this up, is there a program that searches for drivers or added hardware. I tryed the windows 1 but it says everything is working fine.
Ive tryed changing all the settings in the autio programs and that so i think it just needs a driver.

Do you know the make and model for the mic?

Hey Gecko, thats the thing, it has 'Genius' on its base, but no other clear marks on it, its plain, has a base, ball swivel point, mic is long n sticks into the ball.

Its the sort of micraphone you would of gotten free with a pc years ago, its not new at all.

Hope you can use ya skill n find a stinking driver lol, i wanna be able 2 chat whilst playing on css! My webcam one works but its next to my speakers so no good.
