Problem installing windows

Postby elpea117 » Sun May 29, 2005 4:49 pm

ill give you the list of events up until this point.
i have built my own computer. I go to install windows and it would tell me my bios is not ACPI compliant. So i pressed F7 when it was loading the drivers to get past that error message. So then when i get to the formatting it just stays at 0% and does not go anywheres, ive been toying with this for about 48 hours and have tried everything within me and my freinds knowledge. All help and suggestions are highly appreciated.

Motherboard - ASUS k8v SE deluxe
Hardrive - Samsung 80GIG ATA 133
Corsair Ram 512X2 400MHZ
Sempron 3100 processor
Nvidia geforce 2 32 MB graphics card
CDRW drive
480 W pSU
AMI bios
and thats all i can think of off the top of my head

Have you checked the ASUS website to see if there is a newer version of your BIOS?
