Hardware Ignorant

Postby josh10581 » Thu Dec 29, 2005 4:01 pm

I am looking into buying more ram for my computer. Unfortunately I am a little hardware ignorant at times. Other than the obvious fact that if the motherboard supports DDR,then SDR won't work, what properties:
1) are ABSOLUTELY necessary to match(to the motherboard) for it to work.
2) SHOULD match in order to maximize performance.

If I'm too vague, I suppose I can supply my MOBO and the RAM I am looking at, and you can just tell me if it will work or not.

If you could list your motherboard make and model number we could help pick the right ram to buy.

P.S. I've got $100 at Best Buy if you can find something there.
