Go to Start > Control panel > Administrative tools > Event viewer > look in the system section.
You are looking for any red icons, double click on the icon.
Click inside the ‘Description’ section then highlight the text and copy and paste it into notepad.
At the bottom of the event window check ‘words’ and then copy and paste that text also
Then past it all of it into this thread.

If you don’t show any errors in the event viewer then:
Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery section
Settings button > System Failure section > check the box 'Write an event to the system log'

Do you have a Mylex RAID controller installed?
Do you have service pack 2 installed?

Im also having the same problem as this guy but i went and checked errorsand the seemed to be coming from "atapi". Any help?

Sory to barge into this topic but i thought the need of two toppics warranting technically the same problem was useless.

Msi has new drivers and BIOS for your board:
AMD Cool and Quiet Driver dated 2005-12-19
NV RAID controller drivers for your SATA drive
Award® BIOS dated 2005-12-2 Version 1.B

That is where I would start with the two drivers and then if that doesn’t fix it try flashing the BIOS.

I have installed new drivers ofr everything exept flashing my BIOS.

This is what I get most of the time when I get a blue screen:

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

Stop: 0x000000D1 ( 0x10F6C184, 0X00000002, 0x00000008, 0X10F6C184)

Also when I looked up mu rescources, I found that afew devices were sahring IRQ channels, name 23 and 20 were each used by 2 devices.

So you think flashing my BIOS will do the trick? Is that safe?
