Old school HP Vectra Giving me trouble.

My boss just braught in an old HP Vectra VL420DT Desktop PC to our job. He got it for $40 with the monitor and figured out clients could use it for Word applications in order to do a Newspaper like class. Upon setting it up I noticed that it had been upgraded to 256MB Ram, with an ATI Rage 128 Pro vid card, Windows XP, and a 2.0G Intell processor.

The product number is A7589S#ABA
S/N US20604502

The Problem:
When I first set it up the thing booted no problem and ran really nicely. Actually felt like it was loading windows apps as fast as our Staff Dell 8400. So I was impressed, and hoooked up a printer and speakers. tested all the different things we wanted to make sure it could do, IE: Play music, print, run Word and Notepad. And hook up to the Internet. It has an Ethernet adapter. We let it run for about 6 hours and then shut it down for the night. The next day when we tried to boot it up all we got was a series of wierd beeps, Ending with two distinct beeps but no POST. Monitor light doesn't even turn from yellow to green, and the power light on the base doesn't even stay turned on.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance
Mike

Well, my Spare PSU has no Molex adapters hanging from it, and this Mobo needs 2 Molex connectors. So, I now have no clue if it's the board or PSU. Going to see if I can find another PSU laying around. But I doubt it. Thnx for all the help so far.

Ok guys new symptoms. I never did find a Power supply to try on this PC, so today i was bored and decided to plug it back in and see what happens. Well it boots up and is running pefectly again. Now I am positive it's the power supply. What do you guys think?

Do not turn it off

Yes it still sounds like the psu to me.
I would bet that when you do turn it off again unplug it wait 15 minutes and try it again it will boot.
AC to DC rectifiers take about 10 minutes to discharge all of their current.
