Hi All,
I have a gateway 700x PC and I would like to upgrade the ram.
I would like to know how much ram I presently have an how much I can add.
The original paperwork does not indicate this. How can I tell?

You should be able to find the Ram type at

I could not find a 700X model at Gateway I did find about 6 versions of a 710X, their numbering makes no sense.

If you use the Serial Number search feature at the above link then it will find your model.
From there you can find the type of ram you have and the max you can install.

As for how much ram you already have installed go to Start > Control panel > System > General tab.
It will be listed at the bottom under Computer.
