No POST

Ok so last night i was using my secondary comp (amd athlon xp 2600, 512 ram and an asus p7n8x nforce2) anyways, it was working fine no problems woke up the next morning and decided to use it again. Now heres the problem when i turn it on hdd make its usual noises, keyboard lights up, power light stays on as usual and the hdd light stays solid for about 20-30 secs. The monitors light goes from orange to green as it usually does when its about to turn on (crt monitor) then it goes back to orange as if it were on standby. It pretty much stays this way untill i hold the power button and it shuts off. Ive tried different ram, hdd, psu, and cpu. It does the same thing.
Although once while it was on the monitors light went green for about 5 sec a second time then back to orange. Im not sure whats going on here ive tried many things yet i get the same outcome what do you guys think?

For all of you having this same problem or might eventually have it. Ive solved the problem. everything unplugged, cpu only 1 stick of ram and psu disconnected. Reset the cmos and the battery using pins on the mobo. plug psu back in and start it up. If it does the same thing again hold the power button for 5-10 sec then push it a few times the screen should come up. Comp starts in dos. So youll need to shut it down, plug in hdd, and start it up again. Problem solved.
