I tried to repair/reformat the Windows XP installed on my PC due to authenticity issue but when I inserted the XP installer disc, it said it doesn't detect any hard drives connected to my PC ( I have two HDDs) but when I removed the XP Installer CD, the PC reboot normally.

Hello.
You could try removing the hard drive that you are not formatting and see if that helps.
The only experience I have had in this department is my own PC! One of my Hard drives isn't detected in the bios, but works perfectly in windows. You could try moving the hard drives to different sata ports on the mother board and see if that helps.

If your using sata drives, you may need to make a floppy with your motherboards sata drivers on it. You will need a floppy drive with the driver disk in it and at the beginning of the setup stage you will have the option to press F6 to install raid/sata drivers. This was a common procedure on older motherboards.
If you need help creating a disk you can post your motherboard/computer info and we can help find the right driver and give better instructions on creating and using the disk.
