DVD/CD-R trouble

Ok so I have this COMBI RW 16X10/, its a DVD, CD-RW and a plain cdrom. Well recently it hasen't been working at all! When I try to burn CDs it says my drive dosen't support that, when I try to use plain CDs and DVDs it dosen't auto-run then when I go via my computer it says there not in the drive. I tried to update the drivers but for manufacturer it just says (Standerd CD-ROM drives). Windows says it works fine and I made sure its hooked up right. Any help? Please i've tried everything. Thanks in advance.

When you go to "Device Manager" and select "Update Driver" put in your CDrom's install CD and "Browse" to it. See if installing the driver again helps.

ummmmm...I don't think we actully got a Install CD with it. It came as part of our computer...but I'll check thanks.

yeah I just put an old one in it....but now that ones not working either...it worked for a day or 2 and now...nothing.

The old one is showing identical problems to the new one?
