i have a cdrw and i cant get it connected. i have a p2 3100 motherboard with 2 ide slots and i have 2 harddrives on ide slot 1 but when i go to put the cdrw on the ide 2 the boot screen doesnt come up, is there something wrong with the motherboard? or is there someway to put all three on ide 1? if something is messed up on the motherboard what can i do about it? please help, this sux, thx

basically, i have 2 hardrives on one ide slot, they are working good, then a have two cddrives and neither one of them is hooked up, when i go to hook up one of the cd drives it doesnt work, the boot screen doesnt come up.i meant that i have power going to the cd drives and as long as they arent hooked into ide slot 2 then they open and close normally, only when i try to put one of them on the ide slot2 does the power not work for the cd drive and the boot screen not come up. one hardrive is set to master and the other is on slave, for the cd drive what should it be set onto...master or slave?
