Checking In files with a Net MD

I recently got a virus on my hard drive and lost all my mp3s. Me being the clever person I am, I put most of them on Mini Disc so I could listen to them when I'm out and about etc. I had a bright idea just now to check-in all the files off the discs back onto my hard drive. However, it won't let me do it, as my discs are apparently write protected.

Is there any way I can check my mp3s back onto my hard drive? It will take me yonks to re-download them all.

If you have them on CD...why put them back on your HDD?
You can access them from the CD for sharing as well...

I don't have them on CD. If I did, why would I be asking how to retrieve them?! The files I am talking about are ones not on Cd's I own. I've been downloading songs off the internet, borrowing CD's from friends etc, and I have these recorded on mini disc; not on CD or on my HDD.

Sorry the MiniDisc slipped right by me.....
You can retreive the mp3 with another application.
If you use an app like Nero or similar you can disable the protection when saving to your hard drive.

Being Write Protected means what it says.....
It's WRITE PROTECTED....YOU CAN NOT WRITE TO DISC.
You can still copy files from the disc.

Write Protection does not DISABLE files from being transfered.

But how do I go about copying files from the disc? It literally won't let me check-in any of the files.

When you connect your USB cable to the MD and the PC...can the PC see the drive and whats on the Disc?
