Spychecker for Win95

Postby lilpinkflower » Fri Nov 12, 2004 7:35 pm

I want to scan my parent's computer for spyware and to my horror i realised that all the progs I use do not support 95.

Does anyone know of any 95 friendly and free spyware checkers ? I tried to do the Pestpatrol online one but the software wouldn't dl ...not sure whether this was caused by my parent's dialup tho

(95 and diallup = nightmare !! )

If they are running Windows 95 and are using AOL and have no complaints, I'd leave it alone. Its got to be less than a 2 gig hard drive and after you install the anti virus, its going to be real slooooooooow! Not to mention low disk space.

Try running hijack on it and cherry pick the spyware----they've got to be doing something right if it still works. A lot of the new virus codes don't even know what to do with Windows95
