FTP info...

I have a some files that I would like to send to my sister in law... The problem is that they are so large it takes a really, really, really long time to try and e-mail them...

So I was thinking that FTP would be a fine solution.... Only I don't know a lot about this...

I understand that FTP is what actually transfers the files, but am not sure what I would need to do to transfer these files to her.

Do I need some sort of site to transfer the files to that she can then access and transfer the files to her computer?? Could someone give me some info about this sort of thing...

What you will need to do is setup a ftp server on your end.
is a good ftp server program.
You might also want to read article if you are behind a router.

Once you get it all setup have your sister connect with a ftp client program
and then just transfer the files to her system.

Looks like we'll probably use the "You send it" We've tried it and it does exactly what we want, and is very simple...

I'll look into that bullet proof for my own future use though
