Hey guys, my internet explorer allways buggers up, ive found the error messege, can you help me please fix it, cos its a real pain in the bum.

Go to add/remove programs. Select Internet Explorer and click remove. On the next menu, you will be given the option to REPAIR. Select that and see if it gets rid of the errors.

You might want to check for spyware and trojans first. They are usually responsible for a lot of this sort of problem.

Its not in the add/remove programs thing, its not in either of the other 2 uninstall programs either. I am the moderator i think, so i tryed donwlaoding it, so i could do the repair on setup, and it said a later virsion has been found so cannot continue, im determined to sort this, so is there anyway round this?

While you are logged on as an administrator, click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate the appropriate registry subkey, right-click the IsInstalled (REG_DWORD) value, and then click Modify.

To reinstall only the Internet Explorer 6 browser component on Windows XP, use the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383}

Change the value data from 1 to 0, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor, and then install Internet Explorer 6.

Venny, you need to get rid of all of the dead wood!

There is nothing like a new install to bring a system back to a full confidence level.

You've toasted internet explorer and it goes downhill from there.

Suggest you buy a new drive and treat yourself to a fresh install----Norton Antivirus 2003 still works on "new installs." You get another year for free.

woooah icecube u being far 2 hastey here, my computers perfect at the moment, part from sometimes internet explorer buggers up, n at the same time msn messenger stops working, and when i log off it like closes them and starts 2 work again, but obv logs me off a second later so im not sure wat it is, i need 2 do hijack scans on the other profiles as well, but for the moment im gona try fix this ie problem.

Only other problem on pc is css lags for some gay reason.

Hey, problem, i changed the vlaue to 0 and it made no differnce at all. How do i completly remove it so i can start again, n if i do do this, will i be able to donwlaod all the like updates thru window update things?

Its kind of like my back tooth right now, if I take enough antibotics, I won't have to get a root canal. Needless to say, thats not going to work no matter how hard I wish.
