outlook express help

im using outlook express as my email program, and just lately it looks like i am missing emails that people are sending, I am being assured they are sent but i do not recieve them, i have a spam filter but i have turned it off, and also disabled my message rules option in OE. can anyone offer any advice :(

Planes and computers.....
Both are great untill they crash.
