Burning Data CD with MP3 files

I am using Roxio software to burn MP3 files to a CD. I format the CD for a data CD. I successfully transfer files to the CD. When I try to close the CD for good (no more writing), I get aISO 9660 sector is damaged error and it won't close the CD.
