virtually resize Screen resolution?

How can I virtually re-size my Laptop Screen resolution?!
Hello everybody, I would like to report a very special problem! My laptop LCD has been broken. The area in the top and the right corner is not visible as result of the damage. I usually have no special problem because I can easily re-size windows and web browser to any specific size. But when I use some programs especially power point files which only run on slideshows mode the problem arise-I am not able to re-size the window and so lose some text!
What I like to do is keeping the original screen size and makes another virtual screen or desktop maybe to solve this, so I can run some programs on a new screen window. Does anybody have any solution to this problem?

Sorry but I don't know of any way to accomplish what you are trying to do. That is why I didn't reply, in hopes that someone else would know something that I don't.
