defraggin wid a defragger

plz dont think i'm foolish lol

i downloaded the trial version of DISKEEPER n ran it

i have trubs sumetimes wen defraggin n it seemed like a dream come tru lol

i'm win98 n defrag in safe mode but sumetimes tis ded slow n starts over n over n stuff even tho it's in safe mode so i decided to try summat different

it was amazin...wud defrag even with other stuff running etc.... n i'm like WOW!!

BUT sins i defragged wid DISKEEPER my Nobby (dats my comp...hehe) is not a happy chappy....

n feminine intuition tells me to do a nice slow win98 defrag to put it rite...

now here comes the foolish bit lol

is it possible for a defraggin program to rearrange stuff in a diff order seemingly betta but ISN'T???? or am i havin a blonde moment??

things av become v slow...perhaps for the first hour Nobby is up n runnin....n if i try n get in incredimail...well u can forget it!!
i've run me Norton n there's no virus...but Norton stuff is in the tasklist all time...like lucomserver n Aupdate....way more so than usual

perhaps its not me defragger?? i dunno... but summat's slowin Nobby down

Running DEFRAG can be a pain if it keeps staring over and over!!

Here's a good way to run DEFRAG smoothly:

CTRL+ALT+DELETE then shut down EVERYTHING except:

Explorer & Systray

Make sure you DISABLE your ScreenSaver.....

i always do it in safe mode...but even then summat always writes to disk...windows i presume...its a pain

but i cant do it in anythin other than safe mode... some things refuse to shut down off my tasklist or revive themselves...!!

the above defragger ran like a dream...ony trubs is its ony a trial...gotta look n see how much it costs lol

was v v v gud tho.....i rekkon Diskeeper sumhow affected my system cos me comp feels loads better now.... just like it did 4 days ago lol

This is what I do. Turn off screen saver. Anything I can close in the task bar I close. First you scan disk, its in system tools same as defrag (three down). When you start defrag it first checks for errors on the hard drive, which is why you can be seeing it restart over and over. I've seen where it keeps restarting beocz its finding errors on your hard drive if you dont scan disk first. After it scan disks, run defrag. I dont even use safe mode and it takes about 10-15 minutes. Try it, lemme know
