Hi,

A week ago or so R.exe appeared in my processes and i tried to search for it in the search engines but found nothing that i understood.

Is it a good/bad process?
Should i stop/delete it from starting up?
Should I delete the file?

Also, ZoneAlarm is asking me if i should give permission for it to access the internet. Should i give it?

Thank you.

I can't find anything definitive on it - personally I'd search for it in explorer & move it onto a floppy disk or something, so that it can't run on your computer, and then see if anything intoward happens which may indicate that it's a bona fide program. If everything still runs fine, leave it on the floppy & forget about it :)

You do run a up-to-date virus scanner don't you?

Is it just R.EXE or is there something in front like:
336-R.exe or trojan.formatc.r.exe

This link was specifially for R.exe files, but the security certificate was revoked and I did not visit it...for obvious reasons.

Do a search for R.EXE on your HDD and try and list anything else that seems to be with it(if it has a folder).

Do a search on your PC for these:
trojan.formatc.h.exe
trojan.formatc.m.exe
trojan.formatc.p.exe
trojan.formatc.r.exe

Note:

At the same time it also seems to be a legit app.
