WinZip will open and execute the self-extracting files for you.

There's 2 apps for winzip...the Self-Extractor 2.2 is a seperate download.

okay.. there are one of two things it is likely to be..

1. a corrupted Self Extractor.. if this is the case.. then winzip (or preferably winrar) will report an error in the archive when you try to open it (Make sure you have the latest version of winzip/winrar)

2. a 'FAKE' file that claims to be one thing.. but could actually be anything from a pure fake.. to a possible Trojan..

Ensure that where you got the file from is legit and not likely to have provided a fake file (file sharing systems such as Kazaa and Gnutella are bad for this). and try opening it with the latest version of winzip/winrar (it is not necessarily a ZIP format self extractor)

let us know any further details

ok, nether self exsracter or winzip works with it. it does say
"1. a corrupted Self Extractor.. if this is the case.. then winzip (or preferably winrar) will report an error in the archive when you try to open it (Make sure you have the latest version of winzip/winrar)"

is it not going to work then? ok now also ive just downlaoded sum files froma site and they r saying "not suitable to open in msdos format" what have i done? crappers. i cant install the files. plz help.

So are you saying you can't unzip any zip files? Normally I would say that the files are corrupted if winzip can't open them?

Well I can tell you now that the full ISO of warcraft 3 is way bigger than 165MB - so it's either not what you think it is, or it never finished downloading :(

avi to mpeg 1 or 2

venney.. you're making no sense.. at first you're talking about extracting a zip file.. now you're talking about converting video files..

but to answer your question.. Ivideomax is just about the best piece of video conversion software I've used so far..

Now please.. can you tell us exactly what your problem is?? :)
