Hello, i feel a tiny bit silly asking this becuase it seems quiet simple
what i want to do is burn say 3 files to a cd, but there not very big at all, so i want to be able to keep adding the same sorts of files to the cd until its full, but i have no idea of how to do it, im aware that you can do it (i think)

i have
Alcohol 120%
RecordNow! Deluxe
and
Nero 6 (latest virsion)

What is a "multisession" CD? When should I use multisession?
Multisession is a technique for adding data or audio to a CD (either CD-R or CD-RW) which has already been written. Generally, you use multisession writing when you want to write some data to a CD, then come back later and write more data at a later time. Multisession was important in the early 90s, when CD-R discs cost $12 each, CD-RW discs and drives didn't even exist, and hard disks were small.

Multisession CDs have a lot of compatibility problems, and for that reason I strongly recommend avoiding multisession entirely. The UDF format makes multisession obsolete; with DirectCD and related products, you can write data to the same disc again and again without worrying about compatibility. If you want to exchange data with friends who can't or won't install the UDF reader software supplied by Adaptec, simply write all the data at once in Joliet format.

What is "closing" or "finalizing" a CD? Should I finalize the CDs I write?
"Closing" or "finalizing" a CD prevents further writing to that CD. If you never use multisession, you don't need to worry about finalizing the CD, as the CD will always be finalized when you are finished writing. Many older CD-ROM drives and audio CD players have compatibility problems with un-finalized CDs, so finalizing is always a good idea.

If you want to write fresh data to a finalized CD-RW disc, simply use the "erase" option in your CD writing software to erase the CD-RW disc and start fresh. If you use the UDF format, you never need to worry about finalizing, as UDF discs do not require closing or finalizing in the traditional sense -- just drag the files to the trash bin.

This is what im on about, i will try doing a muti session cd-r soon, i dunno which porgram i should use tho.
Thank you geek girl! Hat off 2 u

Nero 6 will happily do multisession - when you select a new compilation you get the option to start or continue a multisession cd :)

When Nero opens..the 2nd TAB is for Multi-session.
Your choices are:
1)START MULTI-SESSION
2)CONTINUE MULTI-SESSION
3)NO MULTI-SESSION

Really a very good program for this type of application...very easy to use.
Of course you know not to Finalize a Multi-Session burn??

You should be able to "Drag and Drop" files to your CD Burner, in Windows Explorer, all you want. Then simply Right Click on your Burner and select "Write these files to CD". Easy as that. You can do this with CD-R's. I use this method daily.

Sometimes nero starts in express mode - in that case you may have to click the 'nero' button at the bottom to get to nero proper.
