Anyone know what software will enable me to put a dvd onto my ipod ??

What ipod do you have? I asume you have the ipod video, and i asume if you have an ipod video it comes with converter software?
What i find strange about ipods is that every one says that "they dont play mwa's blah blah, but itunes converts them.
So i would asume ipod has software to convert it.

Correct, just a dvd reader.

A good piece of software to use is Xilisoft DVD ripper. It's not free though.
