I really could not find much on you problem so lets try this:

Download shockwave again once it’s finished run a Spybot scan But do not "Fix selected problems"
When the scan completes look through the list for the active-x reference
Right click on it and select “Exclude this product from further searches”

sry it took so long to get back here....everything is running fine for me now that i no longer have that hdd...i have purchased a larger hard drive and installed everything on that one.
