MS office has a feature of displaying Office Assistant on screen for quick help.

In my work PC at office, while the MS Office was retained, the MS Outlook was upgraded to 2003. Now I have a problem starting Office Assistant with office 2000 Documents.

Sometime it works / sometimes it gives this error. It gives that error of ‘Assistant Could Not be started, please repair office’. Even re-install / repair did not help.

I have no clue how to resolve this..

Hi patkim,

Is it MS outlook or MS outlook express that was upgraded?
What version of MS office are you running?

It's MS Outlook and not Outlook Express.
From MS Office 2000 only Outlook 2000 was upgraded to 2003. Thus all other applications like word, execl etc are still MS Office 2000.

I think it to be some conflict between Office 2000 & 2003. May be something related to paths / links somewhere, as even the reinstall / repair did not work.
