what's the best software to make local calls? skype, googletalk and YM sucks. I dont have a headset by the way so i just need to make free calls using my telephone. is there such thing?

Welcome to PcTechForums

I dont know of any specific programs to do what your wanting but i can give you a link to a ton of free programs to look through. I've never used any but you should be able to compare features and maybe find one that suits you.

try checking out www.voip.com. ive been using their services for so long since i'm on dial up. oh, and they let you call for free too! :)

:?: i checked out voip.com and i cant seem to make it work. how do i make free unlimited calls? it sez there that i have only $0.12 remaining balance. :(

you can actually call other countries with voip.com. this is where they charge you. but with state to state calls and PC to phoneline calls, you wouldnt have a problem since its for free.
