IE 7 multimedia/java problem

when i go to certain sites with video or audio, IE 7 refuses to play the video/audio only at some sites though, for example stupid videos or myspace, which gives me an error listed below:

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia's Flash Player. Click here to get the latest flash player.

takes me here->http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer/

i've installed that probably 100s of times still nothing, restarted the computer, uninstalled and reinstalled IE 7, i've tried firefox and movies play there, but Bill Gates has me addicted to microsoft software and i've got to get my fix with IE 7

i've also tried to install adobe shockwave player, that didn't work either, sometimes it gave me an error saying "shockwave error: 10 one or more Shockwave files are missing. would you like to go to Adobe's web site to repair your shockwave player." then doesn't take me anywhere and there is nothing in adobe's website talking about that error.

all this to say, glad i get youtube but does anybody know how i can get IE7 to allow me to watch stupid videos and understand that i don't have java script turned off?

I have to strongly recommend using . Its 100X better than any IE version to date in every aspect. Its faster, way more secure, customizable and when you need a plugin (shockwave, java, etc.) its right next to automatic. I promise you, free yourself from the bill gates dependency and you wont regret it.

I agree, IE7 gives me simular headaches from time to time then all of a sudden itll work they way it should kick the habit and join the firefox bandwagon and never again look back
