im a bit confused with the dvd playback. I dont understand how its playing it back in less than RGB, are you using a scart cable? Because if you are it should be fine shorly?
Also about your modchip, i dont know if getting it chipped will improove the quality of movies, but you'l be able to play backups obv. 1 thing, if you diddnt allready know, Xbox games are hard to copy. I dont think if you put them in a pc that the pc will recognise them. You have to hook the xbox up2 the pc and transfere the date from the disks 2 your pc that way, and then burn that date. But it would be easyer to use bit torrent and donwlaod you backups and just burn them from that. Alternativly there are sites that offer backups.
I dont know the chip you mentioned but if sites say it will improove quality of playback i suspect it will, but unless it says it i dont see how it would.
If i were to get an xbox chipped id def opt for the extra hard drive. Get a bigger hard drive for your Xbox and then you'l be able to save your gave disks to the hard drive. Instead of using disks load quicker from hard drive, but you need a large hard drive so mite be a bit pricey. Just a thought for you. Let me know please if you do get it chipped and if it fixes your problem. I feel a bit bad for you, getting a new tv and then dvd's not playing properly.
