This should be interesting...

I vote halo 2. No particular reason, it was very hard to decide.

Heart attack! Are you insane! No comp at all, hl2 clearly blows away the compation!

Don’t get me wrong I'm Not trying to start a flame thread here but in my opinion HL2 has to be the clear winner due to graphics alone! I loved Halo and I have tried Halo 2 and love it as well. But do to the vast limitations of the consoles it will never even come close to the next gen PC games like HL2. One glance at the conspicuous differences between the PC and the Xbox versions of Doom 3 is plenty to convince anyone of the PC's ownage! I can't wait for Halo2 to come out for the PC! It is a great game but it can’t be compared to HL2 until we have a PC version to compare it to. That would be like comparing a Viper to a VW bug! .

Here is my take on the 2 games:

Half Life 2 » awesome physics, linear game play, top notch graphics, multiplayer, ability to be moded.

Halo 2 » ok physics, ok linear game play, good graphics, limited multiplayer, cannot be modded.

Halo 2 is an awesome game and I love it. I’m not a big console fan due to its limitations. I have always been a PC gamer so I guess my view may be a bit biased although my bias is backed up by facts. My friends seem to love the console gaming because it’s cheaper to get a console than to get a PC that is capable of running the high end games. HL2 will be coming out on Xbox sometime next year I hear( a greatly watered down version of HL2  ) But I guess that will be a plus for people who cant afford the type of PC needed to run HL2
.

couldnt agree with you more there, it is quiet hard to compair a pc game like hl2 to an xbox game hl2. But..... this isnt allways the case. I much prefere gta 3 and vice city on ps2 than the pc virsions, but the pc virsions are good as well, but i 2 am a pcgamer but.... also i love my ps2.

Yea I have both a great pc and xbox with xbox live..I just cant put HL:SP with H2 Multiplayer...Seeing as there is not single player! (for now) I was a HUGE fan of Halo 1 and Im just really impressed with the tournament style gameplay. I do however really like CS and CSS is amazing.. I was a regular player of CS on xbox until I got into halo and when that happened i stopped and devoted myself to halo but after playing CSS im back to CSS and H2 and HL2. My weekends are so confusing. I try to squeez all the games in. It wont be too long before I finish HL2 so after that It'l be CSS and H2 until i get some multiplayer.

Well i got HL2 on pc and so far havent been able to play it yet!!!

This online Steam is killing me.Once you register you have to update Steam, then decrypt the hl game files, then update the game.I guess it wouldnt be so bad if i had a real internet connection but this has been going on for over an hour now and i have 30 minuites to go!!

I read somewhere that once you got everything setup that you can play in "offline mode" , any of you know anything about that?It would be better than having to connect to the internet everytime i want to game.

yea strange isnt it i thought it was cool tho that it has to unlock the files, and it diddnt take long to update but i am on broadband.

The offline mode is a bit hmm, im allways online so ive not had to worrie about it, but what you do is tickt he box that says remember my password and then you can log into steam but in offline mode.

Hl2 is great! :) i dont think its very long tho.
