Erased hard drive

Our 2nd pc had a virus, kids took c: out placed it in working cpu formatted it ,now the cpu asks to remove disks and media
and press key - there are no disks

what to do now ????
tried floppy reboot - nogo
bios set for reading floppy 1st - hdd 2nd
still no joy

os: xp home (when it did work)

Set the bios to try to boot from the CD-Rom drive first. Restart your computer with the WindowsXP cd in the drive. When you start the computer with the cd in the drive, it will go into Windows Setup. From there you can reinstall Windows the way you want.
