CSRSS Virus

Postby Tank » Sun Nov 06, 2005 6:52 pm

Hi everyone. Recently my system has been dumping reg alot, just randomly goes to the blue screen saying it is unstable and blah blah, lots of numbers.

I open msconfig to find it and I have shut it down but it turns itself back on after a few times of restarting. How can I get rid of it?

Startup Item------------------Command-----------------------------------

dumprep 0 -k %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
csrss C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmwwghnij\csrss.exe

Thats what I see in msconfig. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for looking it up Icecube, but I decided to take the easy route, I cleared the entire HD and started from scratch, reinstalled my OS and everything.

It's so much nicer after a while to just wipe it clean and start over. No clutter.

Its a lot faster to wipe and reinstall than to try and get rid of some of this spyware.

Steer clear of the toolbars and the free explorer add ons. Google's ok if you don't go for the full install.
