Graphics Flickering when in games help!

Im have problems with my video card, the screen is fine when doing basic things like surf the web but when i play games the textures look pixalated and the game flickers constantly. i tryed installing the motherboard drivers but they dont work on vista it looks like. when trying to install the video card drivers from the cd it says "no xfx hardware found" despite my card being in fact an xfx card. the drivers of the video card install fine when i download them from xfx's website. but that doesnt fix the constant flickering when playing games

Check your display settings to make sure your refresh rate isn't too high or too low.
