Floppy Effecting the whole PC ?

Postby XShadowZxX » Sat Apr 17, 2004 12:10 am

When I turn on my computer it starts making weird noises with the floppy drive. The screen goes blank and it starts making noises like the floppy is going crazy or trying to open something huge. Sometimes it would say Insert Diskette Floppy. If I put a random floppy disk in it, would say, "Non-System Floppy or Floppy Error".

I need help please :(

It sounds like it might be trying to boot from your floppy drive.
Try going into your system bios and changing the order of the boot devices to make the hardrive where your OS is located first and see if that helps. If that dosen't help post back and I'll think of something else.

awwww sorry to hear that. so now what you gonna do?
You may have been hearing the hard drive making noise. Even if you did have the boot sequence to check the A: first it would bypass it if there was no floppy in it and go to next drive letter most often being the C: and boot. I think it was the hard drive all along making the noise.
