Noisy

Postby Jazzman » Wed May 26, 2004 10:16 pm

Hello people!

Shortly i plan to spend a bit on upgrading my system. First in line is a new graphics card, but another thing i want to tend to is the issue of noise.

My system is appaulingly noisy. The processor fan is the problem. The AMD Athlon 2600+ PCU has a huge heatsink and fan. THe powerbox fan is also pretty noisy compared to my old system, and i have a feeling that my new AGP graphics card will have a fan, also creating noise. And the high pitched whirring of my Hard Disk is unusually loud.

Whilst I know some sound is unavoidable, i am willing to go to considerable lengths to reduce noise. Any suggestions at all, big or small, would be highly appreciated as i cant bear this!

Thanks in advance (this site never lets me down!)
