"spoolsv.exe" is a legit Windows Process. Without it you're not going to print.
It is also used by Trojans to "hide" behind. It's Ok if it's in the running Processes but be concerned if it's in the HKEY startup.

Thanks for that link Brad. It helped.

I did a quick check of the registry keys it indicated and they seem to be okay. I've been a little short on time lately, so I'll get into it a little deeper later.

Just a quick note to say thanks for your response.

I'd check your comptuer with an antivirus program. I run norton antivirus on my machine, but check up on it with housecall antivirus (free web based virus scanner) whenever I think it might have missed something.

Here it is. I noticed one entry that raised by eyebrow: mobsync.exe, but not sure if that is causing the problem.

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.) Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Synchronization Manager] mobsync.exe /logon

This will simply take it out of your Startup in the Registry. It's a sync. manager incorporated with IE and you don't need it at Startup.

I know this doesn't help your problem much but it does narrow it down.
Have you tried removing your Printer, rebooting, and then reinstalling?
