Hi. I am trying to get rid of deal helper. I ran spybot and adware and now hijack this. This is my log. Can anyone help me.

Take a look at the below link for removal instructions. After you have all the steps take a new HijackThis scan and post the log into a reply to this thread so it can be reviewed to see if anything else needs to be removed.

Thanks. I was able to add/remove deal helper but I am still being attacked by popups. here is my new hijack this list

After you've finished fixing this problem I strongly recommend that you visit the and download the Critical Updates.

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following: (They may or may not be there)

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.) Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

Go to Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs and remove the following if they are there:

Ares
dealhelper

Now delete these Folders or Files that are Highlighted: (You may need enable "Show all Files" and disable "Hide System Files" in Windows Explorer / Tools / Folder Options / View Tab) (You may have to boot to "Safe Mode" in order to delete some Files/Folders)

Now, empty your TEMP Folder / Temporary Internet Files Folder and then empty your "Recycle Bin" and reboot.

It looks like you have a lot of things that need to be cleaned up. Wait until brad replies to this thread and tells you what needs to be done. He is the expert on HijackThis logs and knows exactly what needs to done with them.
