Kazaa & Ad-aware

I installed Ad-aware on my sons pc,(Windows 2000)and it must have corrupted his Kazaa Media Desktop, when he clicks on it, it gives an error. It worked before I scanned and now it don't so Im sure thats the problem.
Now I personally don't use Kazaa and really hate him using it because of the crap you can get in there but I want to know is if I could of prevented Ad-aware from doing this in the first place.
Can someone explain how to allow some things to be left alone or does it not give you this option?

Have Him uninstall Kazaa and install Kazaa Lite... No Spyware.

The Older kazaa use to use Cydoor as adware,dont know what they use now but theres a adware free version that you would be much better off with.Go and get kazaa lite 2.4.3.(uninstall you O.G. version first)


For ad-aware,once you have scanned you can right click on the files and choose to ignore the ones you want.

remove the Kazaa--download Limewire---Kazaa wants money to download. Plus if you dl something from anyone on kazaa, you have to get a security patch to use it--thats where the subscription fee enters.

You also have to check your downloads on Limewire for Kazaa files, they won't open without the "security patch"

There is also emule--slow but it has everything

Obviously no one knows how to answer my question about Ad-aware but hey everyone knows what music file sharing program I should use

I suppose I will have to take some time and do some research on Ad-aware and play around with it,.... hmmmm I like to play around with things that are a challenge. Guess this is right up my alley....
