??? MS Internet Explorer allows only 1 window open ???

My IE 6.0 allowed only one window open. Clicking a link with the right mouse button and open in a new window closes the old window. Also opening a new window with ctrl-N closes the old window.

I followed a link and the page asked me if I wanted to upgrade my shockwave. I did so and after that I had the problem.

I de-installed Shockwave but the problem still exists.

I ran adaware with a new definition but no effect.

How can I get rid of this problem?

In IE / Tools / Internet Options / Advanced / Uncheck: "Reuse Window for launching shortcuts".
