Postby venney » Thu Jul 01, 2004 11:15 pm

Ok here wat happend. il start off. i diddnt just do it i did it a while ago but havent fixed my problem. i installed a game, but cleared the game directory upon installanation. n i diddnt put it in a folder i put it just in program files. all the files ware scattard. so i tryed to uninstall it. but i cliked the rong uninstall thing. there was just a random box called uninstall. after it had uninstalled pretty much every thing had gone. n i was like o jeasus murcy me. not a happy chap i wasnt. well n e ways. it removed most of the files and it stoped me from being able to uninstall alot of things. ie games n such. well what ive been doing is incerting the game cd's and it comes up witht he auto start thing, well it still thinks its installed so theres only uninstall n polay options. well nether work. so ive been expolloring the cd's n then double click setup n it goes to instal again. works fine, then i can uninstall after. no problem. but not all games allow me 2 do this. how can i remove the games that wont let me install, play or uninstall them? please help. thanks
:)

Have you tried to do a search on these files?
Start>Find>Files and Folders

*edit
Any game or program you install on your computer should be in add/remove programs

Heres a free program called UninstallAbility, you can d/l it here:

Another good app for removing programs is Add/Remove Pro,it displays the entries in the Add/Remove Programs list of Windows Registry, checks if each is valid, and uninstalls the selected program or removes the entry from the list.
