Setting up PASV mode for ftp-server behind router

Postby Weta » Sun Jul 04, 2004 3:17 pm

Hi!

I'm using G6 FTP server, and have it running on computers behind a router. I've entered my ip in the "IP for PASV users" field, and when PASV users try entering PASV mode, it uses the correct, online, IP. Still it doesn't work, I guess theres some more settings I need to change on my router, can anyone help me with this? (open ports perhaps?).

Thanks in advance

Are all the Settings in Windows configed correctly....

1. Open Internet Explorer from the Start Menu or command line.

2. On the Internet Explorer menu, click Tools to open the Tools menu.

3. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options... . A new Internet Options window will appear on the screen.

4. In the Internet Options window, click the Advanced tab.

5. Find the setting called Use Passive FTP (located approximately halfway down in the list of settings).

6. To enable the Passive FTP feature, set the checkmark in the box next to the Use Passive FTP setting. To disable the feature, clear the checkmark. Alternately set and clear the checkmark by clicking once inside the checkbox.

7. Click OK or Apply to save the Passive FTP setting.

It is not necessary to reboot your computer to enable or disable Passive FTP.

What is the Make and Model of your Router?

Check to make sure the Settings in IE are as above.
Post back the results.
