hi,

I have a BenQ and now it won't open. I know that there is power coming to it because i can still see the light on it flickering. but it just won't open anymore. I try ejecting it from my computer, but still it won't work. Please help me.

Hello bsxiong Image

Well if your needing to open it to get out a disc you can stick a paperclip in the little hole in the front to open. If your under warranty, send it back.
If its got power and it wont open then my guess is its busted.......

ok, so now i found out that my drive is not really busted. just that it looks like the opener is just having a hard time opening. will it be ok if i open it and fix it. will exposing the lens or anything thing in there will defect the drive? I just want to know. I'm pretty good at fixing too.

thanks

Just remember if it's still under warrenty it will be VOID once you remove the seal.
Check to make sure it isn't first.

Then I guess it wouldn't hurt to try!
I've never had one apart so can't tell you how easy it is.
Prices have come down quite a bit though so shopping might
be an idea..
