Highlight your CDROM
Click Properties at the bottom of window
Click the Settings tab
Put a in AUTO INSERT NOTIFICATION
Try this; Double click “My Computer” next, right click on the CD Rom Drive and select “Properties”
In the popup window select the “AutoPlay” tab, now use the dropdown list box to select the CD type
then select what you want windows to do or what program to use with that type of CD.
Use the dropdown list box to set all CD types, to finish click the “Apply” button

In the Registry find this KEY:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Look at the value of the NoDriveTypeAutoRun entry. A value of 0xb5 turns off the AutoRun feature for CD-ROMs.
To turn on the AutoRun feature, right-click NoDriveTypeAutoRun,
click Modify, type 91 in the Value data box, select Hexadecimal, and then click OK.
