MSN Webcam

Postby Daninku » Sun Sep 19, 2004 9:37 pm

I've got a problem with my webcam. First the webcam switches on and it works fine. Sometimes, after some minutes it will stop and it will turn off by itself (only when I'm using MSN). So I don't think this is a hardware problem. Anyway, then I will get this message when trying to send another request:

>>
Your conversation cannot begin because your camera is currently in use or not plugged in. Make sure your camera is available and try again.

Technical problems prevent you from having a webcam conversation at this time. Please try again later.

The only way to make it switch on again is to restart the machine. I hate this, this is really annoying. Any help please?

It may also be worth making sure you have got the latest version of MSN messenger.... and if you have... you could try uninstalling and reinstalling....

I've had cam problems depending on who I'm camming with.... maybe MSN tries to protect me from dodgy men hehehe..... mind you your problem sounds like it may not be MSN's fault at all.... but there again ...IT USUALLY IS :|

You could uninstall the version you have and go back to an Earlier version and see if that makes a difference.
You can download an earlier version from here as well as any Patches and Add-Ons:

I think the first thing I will try is to find the newest driver. Hmmm... I hope.

FOR THOSE INTERESTED LOL I APPRECIATE IF YOU POST WHERE IS THIS F****** DRIVER:

Driver Version: 2.18.0.0
Driver Date: 1/10/2000

I will appreciate any help 10x

AND... I am thinking of what you sad about some type of MSN security. It can be bad internet connection, I think :| (Because now sometimes it is getting off, but when I try again it will switch on again) *CoNfUsEd*
