MSI NVidia FX5900 Graphics Card - BIOS corrupt!?!

Postby MysteryMan » Fri Oct 08, 2004 4:28 pm

To cut a long story short......

I have a MSI NVidia FX5900 Graphics Card, which has had the BIOS updated to a FX5950. It has worked in the past but now doesn't output anything at all (even during boot up).

The suspicion is that the BIOS is corrupt. I have tried to flash it back to a FX5900, but, failed! This may be because I wasn't using the right tools.

Can anyone suggest a Flash utility and BIOS file that I can use that may get me back and running, please?

Or, any way of contacting MSI as all attemps so far have fallen on deaf ears!!!!!!

You mean Drivers...Image

What's your operating system?
Have you tried booting into SAFE MODE?

You can update graphics cards BIOS's - although I'm afraid I've no idea if you can recover from a corrupted update. Usually the answer is no, unfortunately :(
