Digital Cable connector on DVD ROM drive

Postby patkim » Fri Oct 15, 2004 5:08 pm

I recently installed Samsung DVD ROM Drive. Its rare panel has following sockets.
Digital Cable, Audio Cable, Master/Slave selector, IDE Cable and Power socket.

Now I am not sure what this Digital Cable is about, its just two pin socket and nothing more is mentioned in the manual. Would like to know more about this pin.
Thanks..

That cable goes from your DVD to your Sound Card. Its so you can listen to your sound in a higher digital quality. I reccomend using it if your sound card can accept it.
