Sound Card

Postby Tank » Sun Oct 31, 2004 8:15 pm

Hey all. The new Computer is coming along great, thank you for showing me the light Geekgirl lol! I bought my AMD ATHLON XP 3000+ processor a few weeks ago. Yesterday I bought my Motherboard and CD-RW drive.

I have a question though. Anyone here running the high end SoundBlaster cards?

I am going with this:

SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum

This is such a nice card, it comes with the SoundCard that goes on the Motherboard AND a control center that fits into your CD-ROM drive so you can hook up anything and everything to it and control it from your desk chair

Link:http://www.soundblaster.com/products/Audigy2ZS_platinum_pro/

Is this a good decision?

Hiya Tank Image

Nice choice, I agree with Gecko, SoundBlaster is the leader in audio technology. That's all I purchase are SoundBlaster.
Your particular model won the PCGW Hardware Award in March 2004.
I'm sure you will be happy with it.
Purchase a great set of speakers/subwoofer and you will be set

I recently bought the Logitech z-680's from tigerdirect.com for $200 and have been very happy with them. Great sounding and heavy with the bass.

I am going to go with the Z-5500 Combination. Imagine that on Battlefield 1942!
