Help with consoles

Dont know if this belongs in the PC Games forum but I didnt know where else to post it.This Christmas I'm going to buy my kid a console gaming system. Which one would be the best for a child of 6 and a child of 30 . I know when I get it for her that I will play it too. So which one gives you the best of both worlds?

I personally like the Xbox, my son and I play Halo online all the time. We're excited to get the new release of Halo 2 which is due out in 8 days

But for a 6 yr old I feel the Playstation 2 has more child oriented games than the Xbox.

My kids have all 3 consoles....XBox,PS2 and the GameCube!!

All the young kids seem to play the Cube more but I personnally prefer the SP2 console.

Nintendo is coming out with the Nintendo DS(Dual Screen)..sometime in November I think...

And Sony is coming out with the PSP -- which is Play Station Portable

Hello, for your young child id most definatly recommend the game cube, where as i being a boy whos 16 love my ps2, ps2 has definatly got games for older people.

Where as xbox, personally im not to keen on it. my mate has 1, n thats only 1 mate i know with 1. most of my mates have ps2's.

mind you adults like game cube as well.lol tuff choise.
id go for the game cube i think as your young child cna play and theres games for all ranges of age.

Yes Venny I agree...I found lots of games for kids on the game cube. They were a bit cheaper than the others. Also Resident Evil 4 is coming out for the game cube. I love those games.
