ati radeon 9800
sound blaster live 16 (almost posotive)

in games i get no reverb but when playing music it is like the music is being played in a concrete room with lots of echo. I checked my setting there is no "sound option" chosen it just says not option chosen but again sounds like the music is being played in a cave

a few questions..

Has it always been like this?
If not, what have you recently changed?
What program are you using to play your tunes?
Have you tried a different program?

Also, I use a c-media sound card which has all the different sound effect options.I know that creative labs also has this..it could be possible that your overlooking a option somewhere.Lets start with the questions above and see what we get from that.

i had a propeblem slitly like this, if i had something loud it would sound very fuzzy. i dont know if it is the same problem btu what i did to fix it was, open the lil sound options in the toolbar by the clock. my mic volume was rite up. i turned it rite down and the fuzzy sounds went away. try this.
Sorry if its not helpful

Yes iit has always been like this.

I did use windows media before which had the problem , then i switched to real player and it stopped...but now it is back.

nothing recently changed...

I cannot find the creative control panel. On my audigy card it is right in tool bar but not on this computer. i did a "find" for the creative folder...but nothing in there had the set audio option. IE hall, concertt, stadium....all the options like that. I right click on speaker in bottom right hand corner and the window that comes up only has the sliding volume bars. even the advanced tab does not have any audio options.

Thanks for reply and I hope this helps

I think there is a control pannel related to sound blaster cards. My computer has one called AudioHQ. In that control pannel, there are options similar to reverb, which they may call 3d sound or something.

I would also make sure you have your speaker setup correctly. If you have a 2 speaker system, and had 4 speaker output setup, it could concieveably cause a weird problem.

if you don't have the audioHQ control pannel, you could try going out to the creative website and downloading the newest drivers.
