venney venney venney :mrgreen:

I've noticed you have posted a few threads with different problems you are having.
Seems you got some issues with your computer.

How bout doing this...........

Update / and Run:

And:
...only coz I know you already use these programs, run them now.

Go to this link and use

Download and install: and post a HJG logfile for the mods to look over..

(Always create a Folder for HiJackThis anywhere but your Temp/Temporary Internet Folders. A good place to make a folder would be in My Documents,as this is where it will save the backup files needed if there's a problem.)

Then doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan". Make sure all Windows and Browsers are closed.
When the scan is finished, use "Save Log" button, save the log in a text file, best to save your text file in the same folder as where you put HiJackthis.

***DO NOT TRY TO FIX ANYTHING, MAJOR DAMAGE CAN BE DONE TO YOUR SYSTEM IF THIS TOOL IS USED INCORRECTLY, PLEASE WAIT FOR OUR MODERATORS TO GIVE YOU INSTRUCTIONS***

Maybe we can help resolve why your having so many problems :)

**(Always create a Folder for HiJackThis anywhere but your Temp/Temporary Internet Folders. This is where it will save the backup files needed if there's a problem.)**

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following: (They may or may not be there)

Scheduler V3.exe
Scheduler.exe

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.) Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe
O4 - Startup: PowerReg Scheduler.exe

The next are optional, but recommended for removal,Resource hogs and not needed on startup, but does not disable the program:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE

Go to Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs and remove the
following if they are there:

PowerReg

Now, empty all your TEMP Folders (WinXp has up to 4 of them) / Temporary Internet Files Folder and then empty your "Recycle Bin" and Reboot.

Turn on System restore,before opening your browser goto TOOLS>INTERNET OPTIONS and make sure your Homepage is correct,if not ,type the URL you would like in the HomePage box.

Now re-run HJT and post a new logfile back here.

Press Ctrl/Alt/Del and "End Task" or "End Process" on each of the following: (They may or may not be there)

dslagent.exe

Turn off System Restore. (Turn it back on after this is repaired and you've rebooted.) Close all other open Windows and have HiJackThis Fix:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dslagent.exe

Go to Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs and remove the following if they are there:

Dslagent

Now delete these Folders or Files: (You may need enable "Show all Files" and disable "Hide System Files" in Windows Explorer / Tools / Folder Options / View Tab) (You may have to boot to "Safe Mode" in order to delete some Files/Folders)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dslagent.exe

The next are optional, and not needed on startup, but does not disable the program. You can terminate these at boot by disabling using the Sytem Configuration Utility:

ULCDRSvr
SOUNDMAN.EXE
dit
Gsiconexe
LogiTray.exe
LVCOMSX.EXE
iTunesHelper.exe
hpsplmwa.exe
issch.exe
iPodService.exe
msnmsgr.exe

Now, empty all your TEMP Folders (WinXp has up to 4 of them) / Temporary Internet Files Folder and then empty your "Recycle Bin" and reboot.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Set Windows to show Hidden files and folders
* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.

Now re-run HJT and post a new logfile back here.

Lawrence, your log file looks clean. But your PC must take forever to boot up. Here is a few things you can check off and have HJT remove to make it boot up faster. Your pc will still run fine. But its up to you.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [VOBRegCheck] C:\WINDOWS\System32\VOBREGCheck.exe -CheckReg
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PinnacleDriverCheck] C:\WINDOWS\System32\PSDrvCheck.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Cmaudio] RunDll32 cmicnfg.cpl,CMICtrlWnd
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SoundMan] SOUNDMAN.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LogitechImageStudioTray] C:\Program Files\Logitech\ImageStudio\LogiTray.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LVCOMSX] C:\WINDOWS\system32\LVCOMSX.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LogitechVideoTray] C:\Program Files\Logitech\Video\LogiTray.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NeroFilterCheck] C:\WINDOWS\system32\NeroCheck.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [nwiz] nwiz.exe /install
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NvMediaCenter] RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\NvMcTray.dll,NvTaskbarInit
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [LogitechVideoRepair] C:\Program Files\Logitech\Video\ISStart.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [UninstallAbility] "C:\Program Files\UninstallAbility\uability.exe" /AUTO
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [LogitechSoftwareUpdate] "C:\Program Files\Logitech\Video\ManifestEngine.exe" boot

HJT can restore these if you feel something is needed after you remove them.
